In this interactive, virtual 4-hour session students will be introduced to A3 Problem Solving. During this session, there will be videos, breakout sessions, virtual practice, and exercises. The first two hours will focus on the review of key TPS principles including; the Toyota Philosophy and Management's responsibility. We will discuss what an A3 is and how it can be used as a systematic problem-solving tool and a tool to help teach employees to become better problem-solvers.
From there we will look at the format of the A3 and how it compares to the PDCA cycle, and how both require Scientific Thinking. We will discuss the 5Why’s and the 7QC tools and how they can be used when developing A3’s. Segment two will start with some examples of A3’s. We will look at a VSM, which is a type of A3. From there we will show how to make A3’s part of a Visual Factory or Office. We will discuss the importance of holding weekly A3 reviews. The final activity will be a case study (a virtual “Go See”) and as teams develop a A3 from what they read. This 4-hour interactive session will give you the basic knowledge so that you can apply A3 Problem Solving in your business. Please join us on April 27th, 2020 for this interactive Virtual training session.
