Many organizations have implemented Lean techniques with only limited success or worse. Why? They are fixated on a tools-only approach to drive results without an understanding of the environment that enables the tools to work in the first place. The environment can be summed up as culture. It either supports a lean environment or it doesn’t. The Shingo Model defines
what we mean by culture and presents a framework for how to create it.

Participants will learn how to properly align and message the Shingo Model within their organization and within the context of a continuous improvement environment. A roadmap or suggested steps for
Operationalizing the Shingo Model will be introduced and practiced. Using a case study, small teams will work together to develop a strategy for the Shingo Model within a fictitious company.
